Quartet has developed a long and lasting relationship with John Laycock the former Chief Executive, Executive Chairman and Chairman of Brandon Hire plc and former Chairman of Bristol City Football Club, who is a vehement supporter of Quartet and the Grassroots challenge. John's passionate interests focus on education, sport and their interaction and with that focus he decided to set up a fund with Quartet. At the same time, he used his donations to take advantage of the match challenge which turns a gift of £100 (costing the donor £75 as a tax payer), which with the help of the government match converts to £192 in the fund. Leverage of this magnitude is so rare, that John had no reservations in donating his money, which would now go twice as far to support his chosen causes.
